Lower Extremity Fracture (LEFX) Virtual Course

This session explores modern strategies for managing complex pilon fractures. Faculty will share pearls on ORIF approaches, handling open injuries, decision-making around primary fusion, and the evolving role of TTC nails. The session will conclude with interactive discussion and real-world case presentations.

A deep dive into the challenges of ankle fractures and syndesmotic injuries. Talks will highlight common pitfalls in ankle fixation, techniques for accurate syndesmotic reduction, the role of arthroscopy and deltoid repair, and approaches to revision ORIF. Faculty-led case reviews will round out the session.

The final session focuses on hindfoot trauma, from talar neck and body fractures to complex reconstructions after talus injury. Faculty will also tackle decision-making in calcaneus fractures—whether to fix, fuse, or find alternative solutions—followed by faculty-driven discussion and key takeaways.
